I consider myself privileged to come from a family which happens to nurture a broad perspective on this issue. Even as a child, I did have a number of friends from the colored community and they used to visit my home quite often, as also on different occasions and events. It’s completely understandable that a fiancée is certainly different from one’s friend; however, I can assert with certainty that their response towards the person would be determined by her nature and character; rather than her race.
